Culture is the best tool to enhance human life. Culture means lifestyle, the rituals that are followed in a particular society, the food etc. It results from the social code and conducts. Culture encourages our internal power.
It develops qualities like humanity, helping others, manners. It gives mental peace and thus makes us civilized creature. Culture and society are inter-related. If the society progresses then only culture sustains. When a society is lost, its culture also vanishes with it.
Development of culture is a long term process and it dates back to thousands of years. Planet earth harbours different cultures and traditions. We human beings always prefer to stay in groups. Such groups together make a society.
Every society adopts certain religion like Hindu, Islam, Christian, Buddha, Sikh, Jain etc. Every religion in turn has its own rites. These religious rites are an important tool to frame the culture of that society. Culture also embraces different festivals, dress codes, habits and food.
In addition to this language, manners, behavioural norms imparted on the child right form his birth together for the recipe of the culture of that society. Different cultures have different hues and shades. Normally the culture of the biggest society is the culture of that nation.
India has many societies of different culture but Hindu society is biggest percent wise. Hence, Hindu culture is the culture of the nation, though it is not constitutionally declared. India is probably the only country that caters so many different cultures.
It is the most versatile culture. It progresses continuously but at the same time it is sticked to its original form. In Indian culture there have been many currents, cross-currents but they have been merged into a single entity. Hence, the nation has remained unified in spite of diversities.
This policy to respect all religions equally is a might of Indian culture. In addition it presents humanitarian approach and this all facts make the national culture rich. Indian culture is thus appreciated world wide, the fact every Indian should feel proud about.
