Water is available in gaseous, liquid, and solid states. We get water from rivers, wells, ponds, tanks etc. Water from rivers and oceans gets converted into steam due to the heat of the sun. This steam goes up in the atmosphere and when it cools down it rains.
This is a continuous natural cycle. We need water for every small thing. It is used for cleaning, irrigation, drinking, running factories, generating electricity etc. Rivers and oceans are useful for transportation.
However, there are many towns and villages in our country that face acute shortage of water. Due to the ever growing population and industrialization, there is shortage of water in every nook and corner of world.

The available natural resources should be used carefully. The processes of storing, preserving, and distribution of water should be improved. These efforts should be done at personal, social and government level.
