Why Is Hollyoaks Not On Tonight
Hollyoaks is no longer broadcast on Channel 4 on weeknights. As of September 25, 2023, Hollyoaks has become the UK's first completely digital-first soap. This means that new episodes will premiere on E4 and the All 4 streaming service a day ahead of the main channel, and will be available to stream in full on YouTube a week after their premiere on E4.
Channel 4 has said that the move is part of a wider strategy to focus on digital content. The broadcaster has also said that it wants to give Hollyoaks more creative freedom, and that being digital-first will allow the show to be more experimental and innovative.
Hollyoaks fans can still watch the show on E4 and the All 4 streaming service, and they can also catch up on previous episodes on YouTube. There is also a weekly omnibus of Hollyoaks that airs on Channel 4 on Sundays.
Here is a summary of where and when you can watch Hollyoaks:
E4: New episodes premiere at 7pm every weeknight.
All 4: New episodes are available to stream from 7pm every weeknight.
YouTube: Full episodes are available to stream a week after their premiere on E4.
Channel 4: Weekly omnibus airs on Sundays at 11:15am.
